Dr Sonja Falck
Psychotherapist and Executive Coach
In all my work with adult individuals, couples, and groups, I use the well-evidenced process of relational psychotherapy, incorporating resources from several approaches including psychodynamic, systemic, RLT, and DBT. I hold professional qualifications to doctoral level, with clinical experience spanning more than 25 years. I am also a writer and I’ve published three books and many articles on my work. For more than 10 years I have held university posts where I train and supervise therapists. I am myself always continuing to learn.
I have a long track record of successfully helping clients navigate change of all kinds, including forming and sustaining romantic relationships or ending relationships; going through crisis, loss, bereavement, conflict, career change; dealing with issues related to family complexities, fertility, parenting, and ‘empty nest’. I have a specialism in working with adult ‘giftedness’ and neurodiversity. As I am a South African who has settled in London, I work well with cross-cultural issues.
In our sessions I encourage you to speak freely and honestly with me in your own way, in your own time, within a contract of confidentiality. I work in goal-oriented sessions or more exploratory open-ended sessions, according to your brief. I offer expertise and transparency, in ways that improve my clients’ interpersonal effectiveness and bring about meaningful progress in personal and professional contexts and in achieving creative self-expression. I look forward to meeting you.
