Lisa Bruton
Individual and Couples Psychotherapist, Therapeutic Coach and EMDR Practitioner
I am a highly experienced Psychotherapist working with individuals and couples, as well as a Therapeutic Coach, Clinical Supervisor and EMDR practitioner. Alongside my clinical practice, I also tutor Psychotherapy at Oxford University and am a media expert for the UKCP and BACP. I have over 15 years experience of providing high-quality and evidence- based psychotherapy to people who either work with me as individuals, or as part of a couple. I also work with adult siblings, separating partners, and co-parents. Born in the Middle East, raised in France and educated at UCL, I am skilled at helping people in cross- cultural contexts and relationships, and take an integrative and inter disciplinary approach in my work, by which I mean I am keen to explore both the origins and potential solutions to the issues my clients bring to therapy.
You might be seeking therapy because you are anxious, depressed, you are having problems in your intimate relationships, are struggling at work or are working through a complicated bereavement. You might have a general sense of just not feeling “right” or not thriving in the way you would like. You have probably tried many solutions before seeking out therapy, and are coming because those are no longer working, or have reached their limitation. What I offer is clinical knowledge and expertise to bring clarity, insight, empathy and a way forward with the things that are troubling you, so that you can finally feel at ease and more adept in facing and meeting life’s joys and challenges.
