Dr Kathy Bonshor Evans

Clinical Psychologist

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience across a wide range of adult & family mental health service. I have worked in the NHS and private practice throughout my career and am a Clinical Lecturer on UCL’s Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

I value creating a therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make lasting change. I have extensive experience working with many common mental health conditions including stress, depression, anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, low self-esteem and coping with adverse life events. I am also experienced in treating more enduring difficulties relating to the impact of trauma, severe mood fluctuations, psychotic experiences and interpersonal struggles.

The nature of my training is such that I’m versed in a range of therapeutic models. My main approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, both traditional and third wave (e.g., Mindfulness). However, my work also incorporates psychodynamic and Systemic approaches (e.g., Narrative therapy, Tree of Life, solution-focused therapy). We will work collaboratively to find the therapeutic approach that best suits you and helps you work towards your therapy goals.

I can provide short, medium and longer-term therapy to adults and young people (aged 18+) both face-to-face and online.
