Genevieve De Wynter
Head of Family and Relational Therapy
Systemic Family Psychotherapist
I am an experienced Systemic Family Psychotherapist who has worked with couples and families for the last 20 years.
As a systemic couples therapist and relational life therapist, I help partners reconnect, rebuild trust, and navigate life’s most intimate challenges together. With a compassionate, non-judgmental approach, I create a safe space where both individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow—both as a couple and as individuals.
I specialise in working with couples intensively over 2-3 days. Whether you're facing communication breakdowns, recovering from betrayal, or simply seeking to strengthen your bond, I bring evidence-based techniques and a deep understanding of relational dynamics to support your journey. My goal is to help you move beyond patterns that no longer serve your relationship and build the connection you truly desire.
I work with families and couples to help them find constructive ways to help each other. Families are small and unique units and they sometimes get into difficulties through their differences with one another. Family therapy enables family members to listen, respect and understand different perspectives and views, to appreciate each other's needs and to build on their strengths to make useful changes and find positive ways forward.
I have worked in an inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services setting within the NHS and a children’s charity, where I was the lead family therapist before setting up in private practice.
I initially trained as an osteopath, homoeopath, hypnotherapist and as a Master Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner.
