Dr Elena Borreani

Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner

In my work, clients are central. I value each person’s individuality and provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to explore what may feel confusing, painful, or overwhelming. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where we work together to reduce psychological distress, foster resilience, and promote emotional wellbeing.

Drawing on more than 20 years of clinical experience, I integrate EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) within a deeply relational and attachment-based approach. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the work, providing the foundation for safety, healing, and growth.

My focus is on helping you make sense of your current difficulties, uncover their origins, and identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Once your goals are clear, I use the methods most appropriate to your situation to help you move towards the life you want.

I have extensive experience working with adults from over 50 countries and specialise in trauma, dissociation, Complex PTSD, and personality disorders, as well as related challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, addictions, and relational difficulties.
