Dr Elena Borreani
Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner
In my work, clients are central. I value each person’s individuality and provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to talk through what may feel confusing, painful, or overwhelming. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where we work together to reduce psychological distress, foster resilience, and promote emotional wellbeing.
I draw on more than 20 years of clinical experience and a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, IFS, DBT, third-wave CBT, and Mindfulness. I tailor each session to your unique needs and objectives, integrating these approaches to support both understanding and lasting change.
My therapeutic focus is on helping you make sense of your current difficulties, uncover their origins, and identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Once your goals are clear, I use the methods most appropriate to your situation to help you move towards the life you want.
I am a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and EMDR Practitioner with extensive experience working with adults from over 50 countries. I specialise in trauma, dissociation, Complex PTSD, and personality disorders, as well as related challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, addictions, and relational difficulties.
