Fiona is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist working in the NHS and private practice. She is also accredited as a cognitive behavioural Psychotherapist and trained in systemic family therapy.
She has over twenty years of practice within the NHS where her experience includes working in both adult psychotherapy and with children and families. Additionally she specialises in working with women across the whole spectrum of perinatal mental health problems. Her awards and scholarships include a King's Fund Award.
Fiona has published in the field of attachment and parent - baby interaction. She has a special interest in processes of individual and family transition. Fiona provides both short and long term therapies. She is also experienced in a form of video interactive guidance ('Seeing is Believing'), which enhances parent child relationships, especially where parents are depressed. In addition, she offers treatment for people suffering with trauma related difficulties using Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
